Shirley is drawn to evoking colourful and playful memories of the people, places and food around her. Her work celebrates and honours her Chinese-Australian heritage through blending traditional coloured pencils, watercolours and gouache, alongside digital mediums.
She has been featured in The Gourmet Traveller, ABC Radio National, and Hoiszn Zine, as well as a collaboration with Soul of Chinatown’s “Made in Chinatown” postcard collection.
